Joe,
I had done 5 questions on a page, thinking students would be less likely to 'share' tests/answers.
I tried to change this to 'unlimited' as you suggested, but the change just doesn't go through. I still get 5 questions per page.
If you can get the change to occur, that would be great. Otherwise, should I direct the students to click on 'save' at the bottom of each page and wait until they do all 25 to click on 'finish and submit'? 
I did successfully reset the student's attempt..thanks for the directions.

Is there a reason you have a 5 page exam, rather than having all questions appear on a single page.   (This is the norm, and instructors don't have the issue you've explained.)

I'd make this change.  Very easy.  Go to your Update Quiz page and set
Questions per page:  Unlimited

As for resetting the student's attempt, you can click the RESULTS tab of your quiz.  Click the checkbox next to the student name, and choose DELETE from the With Selected: drop down menu at the bottom left hand side.

Hi!
I just received an email from a student (April Kirby) who did page one of  the 5 page quiz. She clicked on 'save and submit' at the bottom of the page and could not proceed with the other 20 questions.
Should she have just done 'save' and waited until the end of the test to do 'save and submit' ? 
Also, how can I reopen the test for her so that she can begin it again?
Thanks. I will review the information about quizzes later this evening, but was concerned that I would not be able to find the information on my own!
