Hi Meredith,

As for the quiz to which you are referring, my assumption ... since your email does not mention a course name or course number is that the course is one that you teach (since you mention "my course" but no other information).

If the test does not import correctly into Moodle, then it must not be in Aiken format (or almost be in Aiken, but still have some formatting issues).

If you would like me to look at a particular issue, feel free to let me know the course name or CRN and the specific test name to review.  Also, if you have the file that you uploaded for the test import, that would be helpful.

I thought you fixed the quiz problem. I have a 33 question quiz that I imported to Moodle (Aiken format). It was all over the place. What a mess! This was an HTML/ CSS quiz. 
1. When I went to preview, I had a response that question # 55250 was invalid. How am I suppose to know which question is # 55250?!
2. Whenever there was a <bracket> in the question, Moodle deleted the bracketed <word>
3. If there were bracketed words in the answers, it deleted the entire answer and stair-stepped the letters representing the answers so the question shows and empty answers (a, b, c) show but in order to see that the answers were empty you must scroll to the right.

Wow! No wonder Jim was having fits! Have you or David gone to Moodle.org or contacted any other Moodle users to see if they are having the same problems? I do not want to know the exact differences between my problem and Jim's, I just want to be able to give my test. It was not a problem with my test or the Aiken format, only with the <brackets>

For now - DO NOT ENTER MY COURSE - I will print it out on paper for tomorrow.
