Turn Editing on, click on the editing icon 2. Scroll down to "Can a student post to this forum?" and choose "No discussions, no replies" This will turn off posting availability. Go ahead and do this in your week 1 forum and then test it by logging in as the fake student. You will need to go into each forum on the day you want to turn off postings. Next, why no replys were allowed on your DC Blackberries Week 3 forum. When you create a forum for groups you must make sure YOU are in the correct group. 1. Turn editing on, choose "Add an activity > Forum" 2. Set up your basic forum; name, forum introduction, etc. Make sure Group Mode is set to : Separate Groups then Save changes 3. BEFORE you add the new discussion topic choose the group (Blackberries or Raspberries) from the drop-down menu in the upper left corner " Separate groups: group name", then add your new discussion topic I would like to meet with you in the near future to show you ways to use Moodle that are a little more effective, and easier to maintain in the long run but I want you to get everything that we talked about corrected first.
