I just got your email. Thanks. (I'll remember that you are one of the Moodle technicians from now on and include you in my salutation in the future.) The student seems to have righted the problem. I do think it's weird that Moodle allows students to block their instructors from emailing them, but oh well! Thanks again!

Student's choice. Hopefully it was an error. They need to click on the Messages block and check the following:
1. Go to 'Settings' and uncheck the box "Block all new messages from people who are not on my contact list"
OR
2. Do a search for your name and if the icon next to the name is RED , click on it to unblock the address.

Joe or others,

A quick question/concern regarding one of the Moodle messages features:

In attempting to send a student a message from Moodle earlier today, I discovered that this student had "blocked" me from sending her mail. I have no idea why she did this (hopefully it was an inadvertent thing), but I feel like students should not have the ability to do this in Moodle. Is there any way I can turn off the setting for students to block me from their messages in Moodle?
