The subject line says it well! I would like to make a Physics discipline site, to be linked to from the science division physics site, and searchable via the Search Lane function on the Lane homepage. On the discipline site several of the faculty would like to put up information. In particular, we are thinking of a question page as the main page ("Why is the sky blue?") with links to which classes would cover that information. (These course pages would have extensive info on individual courses.) The main page would also probably have a sidebar with more traditional links for ease of navigation.

I have some HTML experience, and understand the basics of building and maintaining a website, and I'm amenable to learning how to use GUI tools for building sites. I need to find out how to get an account, and what tools are available for building a site, and what choice in address we have. The content will be a group effort, but I'm the contact person for the site itself for the time being.

Can you help?

Thank you very much,
