hi all,
 
i am having another couple of moodle problems:
 
1.  even though i use the Q and A forum, which should allow students
to only talk to one another once they have answered a question, they 
are receiving all the emails from one another, which means that they
can, in fact, read responses BEFORE their own response. however, when 
i shut off the "subscribe everyone to the forum" button and just put
"initially" students were not able to post to the forum.....
 
2.  grades--is it true that students can only see grades once you 
have set up a weighted grading system in moodle? i am having
deep difficulties with this grading. is there a way they can just 
see the grade for a particular post?
 
3.  an assignment: i have created a "drop box" for an assignment, 
but it's not working. is it true that i go to "assignment" and students
can upload their document? so far, when i tried to upload a document
to this spot it erased my assignment document instead, replacing it 
with the student's essay--which i assume now all can see? where is 
a better place for students to post assignments?
