Hey guys-

Not sure if this is a question for y'all or moodle admin or the instructor forum?

On my forum discussion, one student copied (word for word) another student's response (pretty knuckleheaded b/c it was a "give your own example" kind of thing). This early in the term I'm assuming it was knuckleheadedness and I'm letting it go. That is, I messaged the student and told her that she needed to submit a unique example, please try again.

My question: I'm not going to respond to her "borrowed" forum topic, but should I delete it? It would be the nice thing to do, so her classmates don't have to see that she's a knucklehead, but - if I delete it, is there a record still of it somewhere so that if this does turn into an actual plagiarism (or other) problem that I can point to it somewhere?? Or should I just leave it on the site?

My, my! Ethical dilemmas so early in the term!

Thanks,
K
