Hi Joe

The reason that I did not set points for the final grade is that I tried this and there was no choice for grades for points over 100. The final grade totals go up to 290. However, I did try and set the points at 100 and then entered grades such as NC, INC and 286=A and I was told the grades were invalid and they did not show in the student view or my view for that matter. What can I do next?

Thanks, Mara

Mara,
Joe here.
I see you've created a new offline assignment to hold a manually entered grade. Unfortunately, you didn't set the points for this "assignment". Go back to the update page for it and choose a point value next to Grade:, which is currently set to Scale: Separate ad Connected Ways of Knowing. I know you did not intend to use that "scale".

Hi Meredith or....

I followed your directions and a column was created in the grade book. When I manually entered final grades, which is a total point grade accompanied by a letter grade, Moodle said I entered grades incorrectly and would not post these grades. What can I do?

Hi Mara,
To get you started - if you create an off-line assignment (as an activity) It will automatically create a column in the grade book for you to manually enter the grades. I do not have an answer to the second part so I'll leave this in the queue for Joe.

Hi

Can I get some help with adding another category on my GRADES list in Moodle for FINAL GRADE as soon as possible? I would like to enter these grades myself as with the discussion (forum) grades.

Also, I will need help with including the FORUM grades for the WInter SP220 class that can be added by me as Joe did for this terms SP218 class.

Thanks, Mara
