Joe,

Can you tell me where the link was that was improperly directed?  And when you noticed that it was not working?  I'm going to try to reconstruct the errant link by restoring the full Winter instance of Moodle on our backup server, but I'll need to when you saw the problem to know the date of the backup to use.

Also: can you tell me when the directory link was originally created, and any changes that have been made to the directory or its contents?

Daniel and David,
Please follow up on this.  It just happened to me, too. 

I have a Moodle resource link to file or directory.
It points to a Moodle directory I created called handouts.
For some reason, that resource link had changed from the handouts directory (where my files were) to the Main directory (which has files and folders, but interestingly, nothing "showed")

Hi Dan,

I fixed the link right away so that I doubt you will be able to see what 
happened to it at this point. A student was asking about it so I did not 
want to wait for a reply. In the future, if it happens again, I will try 
to contact someone without changing it first and see if we can find out 
what happened.

Also, I was just curious if you had run into this type of problem before 
and thus tell me what went wrong. Sounds like you have not run into it 
before.
