Thanks! I am assuming that if I make the the chats and forums for group members only, other students will not be able to read them. In the label that says Everyone can read past sessions, I assume this means everyone in the group. If this is correct, no need to reply.

Click GROUPS in your Admin Block on the course homepage. 
Create as many groups as you'd like and add students to them.

I am now to the point in my online course where I want to set up team chat rooms and forums so students can communicate privately with their team members within the course. I've been experimenting with setting up a chat room for one team, and I can't figure out how to add student names who are authorized to use the chat room. I got the group mode set, but I can't find how to add people. Thanks.
