Yes, I've done that.  But when I click on the Edit Grades tab and try to add points for extra credit, after I click the "Save Grade Changes" button, the point value goes back to zero and it doesn't figure into the final grade.  I've made some screen shots and put them in a Word doc that I've attached so you can see.

On the Set Categories tab of the gradebook, you check the "extra credit" box next to the item you want to be counted as extra credit.

Hi there Meredith,

I met with Joe yesterday and he said you were the only one he knew of that was using Moodle's Manage Graded Events feature.  I, too, intend to use it for offline activities, and I think it will work okay.  The one question I had is with regard to extra credit activities.  How do you get Moodle to figure extra credit points into the grade, without the point value being a regular graded part of the grade, if you know what I mean?
