I haven't been able to figure this one out. Please read Beth's email and see what you can do. I did check Moodle.org and the two checks were:
1. make sure decimal points are set to 2 - Beth's are set to 2
2. there was an old bug were this occurred on quizzes where multiple attempts are allowed - Beth is not allowing multiple attemps

Please try and get back to Beth today or tonight and copy me in on what you find out.
