Thanks Dan, that sounds great. I realized today my computer will save my password for me but that seems too insecure. I appreciate your help.

Hi Brooke,

Understood. Sounds good. I will look at developing a document about creating a strong password (one that can also be easily remembered) that can be housed on the teach server (teach.lanecc.edu) and will let you know when it's ready.

Regards,

-Dan

I am writing to see if it would be possible to educate faculty about how to select their own, personal (and obscure if necessary) password instead of giving us a password that for me makes using the website no longer easy and secure because I will have to write my password down on paper everywhere I login. The password I was given is so obscure and means nothing to me that I won't remember it and therefore won't use the website as much as I have in the past. I must say the new passwords really take the easy part of the website. I would much prefer to me informed about how I can select my own, secure password than be given one I won't be able to remember, can you help me with that please (and thank you).

Sincerely,

Brooke Taylor
