thanks, Dan!  Will give it a try, a good thing to know as well for future reference, e.g. when a student with a documented disability needs more time and/or an emergency such as a natural disaster arises. :(

Hi Hyla,

The way that I would handle it is to extend the time / date range on your exam.  Also for the people who have already taken the exam, if you have set the "Number of Attempts" of the exam set to "1".  Then all the students who have taken it will not be able to take it again ... due to the fact that they have already used their chance.

As such, 

Step 1: Turn Editing On
Step 2: Go to the Exam / Quiz ... update the quiz
Step 3: Change the ending date / time to one which provides the student enough days / time

Re: SP100 - Basic Communication (20291, 23325)

An exam was given on-line last week ,and the time has now expired. One of my students, Cathi Dillard was in Hawaii at the time, and due to the natural disaster in the area was not able to complete her exam/get access to a computer.  I want to offer her a chance to make it up, but not sure what the best way would be via Moodle.  Can you assist? Thanks, Hyla Rosenberg
