Sorry, I wasn't clear.  It's the names in the "Groups" list that is in alphabetical order by first name instead of last, and that's the one i wanted to change.

Hi Bert,

In Moodle, if you click on "Participants".  When the participants list loads, just click on the "Last Name" column.
