I'd really like to mention here that I'm not complaining, in no way is this meant to be a grievance about my score on the quiz, I just wanted to mention it so that you could change it for your students next term, and to make sure that they don't show up improperly on the final Thanks again for your time. -Andy Andy, You were correct on both accounts. Thank you very much for taking the time not only to be so meticulous in your own studies, but also to bring these issues to my attention. Even though students know that these questions come from the textbook publisher (and therefore I'm never really embarrassed at some of the poor questions… they still serve their main purpose… as a reading comprehension check), as the meticulous instructor, I never want to add any frustration or uncertainty to any student's experience. And have no worries about "complaining" to me. First, my 50% requirement SHOULD remove any pressure or arguments about a single question. Second, and more important, I am surprised/sad/happy when a student, like yourself, informs me of these obvious errors. Surprised, because this is the second or third year I've used the text and this is the first I've heard of the problem. Sad, because you are one of 76 students in the class, so you'd figure statistically that someone else saw/experienced the problem but never said anything about it. Happy, to have students like you in class, whose seemingly small contributions in this area will definitely help both currently enrolled students and many future students to come. My sincere thanks.
