Hello my former HST201 Student,

First, I'd like to thank you for your decision to spend another term with me in HST202.  I take it as a high compliment, and you have my sincere appreciation.  We'll use the same textbook, and I've already made the Moodle class available for you. (I am even going to implement a few suggestions made on the anonymous surveys you completed... See the "new" syllabus for HST202.)  However, I have a favor to ask of you.

In the nearly 20 years I have been at LCC, this is the first time I've ever reached out to students with a request like this.  As I mentioned in my last class announcement, due to bureaucratic decisons, there is still a possibility that I might have to take away a class from a part time instructor if my 1pm class numbers fail to reach 18 enrolled students by Wednesday.  

Would you consider dropping my 10am (CRN 30145) class and enrolling in the 1pm section (CRN 30146) instead?  If so, could you make this change ASAP?  As you already know, whether enrolled in my 10am or 1pm class, you can choose to attend either one of my classes.

And have no fear.  If my 1pm class does end up getting cancelled, I will welcome back each and every one of you to the 10am class (regardless if other students add it between now and the start of the term, and MyLane shows it is full).
