Wow Brian, Waste of time, just like the rest of this exercise? As your instructor, I've made it a point to never waste my student's time. Perhaps you'd like to rephrase? Currently, there is nothing very constructive about this part of your post. A community college student calling someone an idiot is hard for me (or anyone) to take. This term, I haven't once called the anthropologists, historians, or textbook authors idiots. I have pointed out on several occasions where I disagree with them and have attempted to use data to support my positions. I have also freely admitted my own shortcoming compared to other scholars. As soon as you write one book, let along many, on the subject, and have it received to critical acclaim (New York Times best seller list?), than your comments might carry more weight, although they'd still be unprofessional. http://www.dontknowmuch.com/ You've stated that making generalizations is almost always wrong. That is nonsense. I have stated that making generalizations always carries with it the problem of special cases where there will be exceptions to the rule. On the Jay Leno clip, you were close. I'm so very glad that you pointed out the "edited" nature of the clips, and perhaps implied the "entertainment" value of the show supporting this bias in choices of respondants. But what facts do you have to support your claim of pointlessness? The facts mentioned by Kenneth Davis ARE correct.
